Michael holds an undergradute degree from the University of Maryland (B.S.); a law degree from the University of Baltimore (JD); and a graduate degree from The George Washington University (LL.M. Environmental Law).

Michael is a member of the bars of the State of Maryland and associated Federal Courts of the District of Columbia and associated Federal Courts and of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
